Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best New Play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a “dazzling, pulse-pounding and remarkable” (Time Out New York) adaptation of Mark Haddon’s internationally best-selling novel. Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain and is very gifted at math. He is exceptionally intelligent, but unfortunately ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing the neighbor’s dog, Christopher is determined to identify the culprit in true Sherlock Holmes style, which leads him on a thrilling journey across London that will change his life forever. A thrilling, heartwarming and uplifting theatrical event!

Human Library Experience
As a patron of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, you are invited to attend our Human Library Experience in collaboration with The Art of Autism, the Autism Society of San Diego and the California Sibling Leadership Network! These events will take place tentatively on Saturday, January 25th from 5:30-7:00p. Come and go as you please within the hour and a half window.
What is a Human Library Experience?
The purpose of a Human Library Experience is to educate and to reduce stigmatization around historically marginalized groups. It’s just like a regular library, but instead of checking out books, you check out...you guessed it: humans! In our case, folks from the autistic community are excited to share their lived experiences with you. Come check out a “book” and learn something new! Borrowing from the philosophy of the Denmark-based nonprofit, The Human Library, we invite you to “come unjudge someone!”
Art Marketplace with Art of Autism
Visit our extended Art Marketplace and meet the artists of The Art of Autism, a local nonprofit focused on empowering autistic people and their families through arts participation. One hour prior to show time, during intermission, and after the show in the Theater Lobby.
ACCESS PERFORMANCES
A Sensory Friendly performance is a theater production that welcomes individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum, as well as first-time theatergoers and young children. Modifications often include: lower sound levels, especially for startling or loud sounds, lower lighting levels for moments with bright or flashing lights. The show is modified to allow for patron movement with house lights left on at a low-level, staff and actors are trained to accommodate patron needs, and all patrons are welcome to experience theater in a safe, non-judgmental environment. There will be a quiet section reserved in the lobby for those that need to step out during the performance. American Sign Language - Interpreted Performance
ASL interpreters are located near the stage for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing, seated in an area of the theater that gives the best sight lines to follow the interpretation and the action on stage. One signed performance will be offered for Curious Incident.

USEFUL INFORMATION
Parking in the East and West structures is free. In addition, a limited number of ADA-compliant parking spaces are available in the structures on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair-accessible elevators are available in the parking garage. In addition, metered parking is free with a displayed placard.

Concessions
Concessions open one hour before showtime. Come early to relax and enjoy a selection of beer, wine, cocktails, sodas and individually wrapped snacks. All food must be consumed before entering the theatre while concession drinks with lids will be allowed in the theatre.
